Complementary university courses

In order to fulfil the requirements of Climate-KIC's overarching learning aims, complementary courses are selected that cover topics which are not fully addressed in the main Master study, especially on entrepreneurship, for at least 12 ECTS.

Courses that are part of your core Master Programme are not eligible. You need to show the complementary value in addition to your Master Programme.

Below, you will find a specification of the courses we offer at our three Dutch partner universities.

Please note that when you have successfully completed  the complementary university courses you need to inform us of the grade you have received (including a copy of your transcript). You can send this information to:

Please note that even if you study at Wageningen University or at the Technical University of Delft, the Climate-KIC Education Manager should always receive a copy of your transcript.

PLEASE NOTE: the information below is for the students who joined the program from October 1, 2013. For students who applied before this date the old guidelines can be found here

Delft University of Technology

At the Delft University of Technology you are expected to take courses in addition to your regular curriculum. This means that if your Master program is more focused on Climate Sciences, you're expected to take Entrepreneurship courses worth 12 ECTS. If your Master program is more focused on Entrepreneurship, you're expected to take Climate Sciences courses worth 12 ECTS. And if your Master is a mix of Entrepreneurship and Climate Sciences then you're expected to take both 50% Entrepreneurship and 50% Climate Sciences courses.

For more information about possible Climate Science/Sustainability Courses and Entrepreneurship Courses please click here or contact your education supervisor at Delft University of Technology.

The choice of complementary courses within your individual study programme has to be discussed with and accepted by the Climate-KIC Education Manager.
